Gal Friedman - Israel's gold medalisst

My name is Paz and I am very happy and excited to interview Gal Fridman the first Israeli to win a gold medal at the Olympics in 2004 in Greece. Many people in Israel witnessed the exciting ceremony live on television many times and could not believe this amazing accomplishment.Some people were crying as the Israeli anthem "Hatikva" played in the background and singing along with the people in Athens.

Hello,
My name is Paz. I am the representative of Ein-Ganim School. I have a project in my school about heroes and people we admire. My class chose you because we admire and respect your accomplishments. We wish you all the best and are proud of you.

Paz: When did you start your sport activities?

Gal: When I was 7 years old I started surfing.

Paz: Why did you choose to be a surfer?

Gal: My father was a surfer and taught me how to surf.

Paz: Who encouraged you to become a surfer?

Gal: My family and particularly my parents.

Paz: What are your hobbies?

Gal: I like to cycle on a mountain bicycle.

Paz: Which competitions did you participate in and please tell me where you like to practice for competitions.

Gal: I had many competitions in my life and I practice in a workout gym, in the sea and mountains.

Paz: How did you feel being the first Israeli to receive a gold medal?

Gal: I felt proud and honored to get the first gold medal for the state of Israel.
